Delivery Representative

Working Draft Beer Company (WDBC) is a brewery and taproom in Madison that brings people together over exceptional craft beer. The taproom is the heart of WDBC, where the brewhouse, the bar, and the community converge.

Overview of Role

The Delivery Representative’s top objective is to deliver WDBC beer in a timely manner. The Rep should also help foster relationships with wholesale accounts and increase WDBC brand awareness in the Madison market and surrounding area.

Role Priorities and Responsibilities 

  • Use the company van to deliver beer to WDBC wholesale accounts on a weekly basis

    • 1/2bbls, 1/6bbls, and cases of cans

    • Pick up and return empty kegs from accounts to WDBC

    • Update invoices properly

    • Maintain and build relationships with current accounts and contacts

  • Use the company van to move pallets of kegs and cans between locations

  • Use the company van to occasionally deliver beer to Milwaukee, Wisconsin Dells, and other communities outside of the Madison area

  • Show initiative and work both independently and collaboratively

  • Advise the Manager and Sales Representative of market trends and other insights

  • Represent Working Draft Beer Company with passion and professionalism

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sales and / or craft beer industry preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to safely drive delivery van

  • Ability to lift and move kegs and cases of beer

  • Attention to detail and care to not damage product

  • Ability to plan, schedule, and complete work to meet appropriate deadlines

  • A self starter with the ability to think outside of the box and a curiosity about our industry, market, and community

  • Experience working with Google Workspace products preferred

  • Ability to maintain sobriety while at work

Schedule

  • 15-20 hours per week

    • Most hours likely occurring Wednesdays through Fridays

    • Full-time work potentially available for a candidate with cross-discipline qualifications in bartending and working off-site events

Employee Status

  • Hourly

Compensation

  • $19.50 / hour or more depending on experience

Work Location

  • Primarily visiting accounts off-site, some on-site work
